 Gnarabup, Margaret River as short-term holiday accommodation. One of the ongoing issues with running a short-term accommodation business 300 km from one’s residence is maintaining the rental property to an acceptable standard. In our ten years of operation we have utilised the services of a number of cleaners, only one of whom has been satisfactory. One recent cleaning company was so bad that in only two months we had three walk-outs and many complaints. When Danni and Jason came along in September 2004, we thought it likely that they too would last only a few months. However, I am pleased to say that to date their service has been excellent. Both Danni and Jason are very approachable, and are prepared to go that extra yard to keep our clients happy. On the few occasions we have been at the property and have assisted Danni, we have found her to be pleasant and cooperative. She is observant, and will advise me if things require attention. When recently a longstanding engagement prevented Danni from doing a clean on 24 December, she found me another cleaner for the day and thus saved me a long drive. It’s that sort of initiative that makes her invaluable to me. A bonus is ease of communication: Danni has a mobile phone and an email address. Not all our cleaners have been able to be contacted at short notice, and it is a definite plus to be able to pick up the phone and speak to Danni about the myriad small problems that crop up from time to time. I sincerely hope that our association is a long one, as there is nothing worse than continually turning over cleaning staff. I would be pleased to expand upon this reference in person.
